BBAC opened its first branch in Iraq in Erbil in 2009, which was followed by a second branch opening in Baghdad in 2010. The year 2016 saw an additional branch opening in Sulaymaniyah.
BBAC is considered to be one of the first banks to have made a significant entrance into the banking and economic playing field in Iraq, through funding investment projects in a range of economic areas, such as infrastructural, residential, agricultural, industrial and commercial projects. This is alongside the collection of traditional and electronic banking services that it offers for business and individual clients, including: corporate loans, letters of credit and guarantees, retail loans, credit cards, account deposits in local and foreign currencies, wire transfers, and digital banking, in addition to ATMs.
The bank has managed in a short period of time to achieve tangible results on different levels and BBAC is now among the top Lebanese banks in Iraq in terms of business volume and profit.
BBAC has also established the Banking Awareness and Client Protection Unit to spread banking awareness among its customers and employees, and to protect the customers’ best interests. To know more about the Unit, please click here.
Regionally, in addition to its branches in Iraq, BBAC has a representative office in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi).
