BBAC Inaugurates its 39th Branch in Hazmieh
BBAC announced the opening of its new branch in Hazmieh area. The move comes as part of the bank's expansion strategy, strengthening its reach in the local banking sector and aiming to provide the best service to its existing clients and attract new customers from various strategic regions in Lebanon.
The new BBAC branch is conveniently located on Damascus Road in Hazmieh, an area that is considered vital and fast growing, and a connecting point to other Lebanese cities. The branch integrates modern design with the latest equipment and technologies as a reflection of the bank's development plan, which aims to continue upgrading its branch network to offer customers a more distinctive banking experience. It will accommodate to individuals and companies based in Hazmieh and the surrounding areas, offering a wide range of comprehensive services and allowing all customers to carry out their banking transactions easily, in utmost comfort and privacy.
On the occasion, BBAC’s Chairman and General Manager Sheikh Ghassan Assaf said, "The opening of the new Hazmieh branch reflects the bank's care for its customers, society and the economy, as well as its commitment to providing the best banking services and financial solutions with the aim of contributing positively to the lives of our clients and actively participating in Lebanon's social development and economic growth. BBAC confirms its commitment to continuously expand and develop its branch network locally and regionally to reach various segments of society and meet different needs. With the opening of the Hazmieh branch, the number of local branches has reached 39 with 61 ATMs distributed all over the Lebanese regions; in addition to branches in Cyprus and Iraq, and a representative office in the United Arab Emirates.

BBAC Sponsors Hamra Festival for the Second Year in a Row
BBAC is delighted to have supported the Ahla Fawda Hamra Festival that took place in Hamra Main Street, one of Beirut's most vibrant streets, on Sunday, May 31st.
This is the second consecutive year that BBAC sponsors this event in support of showcasing the cultural heritage and diversity of Lebanon and Hamra Street in particular, and with the belief that it carries a significant message and values that are worth care and support.
The festival was a real success and brought together thousands of people from all walks of life during a day of music, art, food and performances, to celebrate and honor Lebanon’s history and culture.
The festival offered people a journey back to explore and relive Lebanon’s golden age - transforming Hamra Street for one day into old street cafes to the sounds of Lebanese music legends and the smell and tastes of lost childhood memories. They also had the chance to enjoy a flower and a book market, art exhibitions and workshops as well as live bands, artists and celebrity acts.
Visitors of all ages gathered at BBAC’s stand where they were handed balloons by a living statue mime artist who gave out an engaging show that had everyone mesmerized.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr. Tarek Bilal, Head of BBAC Marketing Department, said: “Sponsoring this festival shows BBAC’s commitment to serve its community beyond its role as a financial institution. Such festivals and events have become an important catalyst for stimulating the local economy through the supply of new resources, creating new and diversified sources of employment and income, especially that the festival includes significant participation from private and economic sectors, promoting tourism and building a stronger sense of community.”
The proceeds of the event will fund Ahla Fawda NGO’s social and environmental projects in Hamra.

BBAC Attends Job Fairs Organized by AUST and MUBS Universities
BBAC took part in two job fairs, this month, at the American University of Science and Technologies (AUST) and the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS).
Job fairs are a fantastic opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the job market and its requirements. They also allow corporate representatives to exchange ideas with young professionals and communicate with qualified and ambitious candidates interested in banking and finance.
BBAC capitalized on this opportunity to attract a large pool of potential applicants who showed interest in joining the bank’s dynamic workforce, and provide career consultation to undergraduate students.

BBAC Honors Its Staff in Its Annual Gathering Ceremony
Within the framework of its annual tradition, BBAC held its gathering ceremony, in conjunction with Labor Day this year, at Hilton Habtoor Grand Hotel – Beirut. The celebration was attended by the Chairman General Manager of BBAC, Sheikh Ghassan Assaf, the members of the board of directors and the bank’s staff who exceeded 800 employees.
At the opening of the ceremony, Sheikh Ghassan Assaf welcomed the employees with a speech of hope and optimism, which was the theme of this year’s ceremony, along with inspiring words mentioning the current national challenges and how BBAC got ahead of them.
Sheikh Assaf moved on to go over the financial results and cited the achievements that have consolidated the bank’s position and strengthened its performance during the last year, in addition to the most important upcoming projects within the bank’s vision to keep pace with the developments in the banking sector and face competition. BBAC’s development and expansion of its branch network, in Lebanon and abroad, was also highlighted upon especially with the inauguration of the Hazmieh branch to take place in June and obtaining licenses for the opening of two new branches in the cities of Basra and Sulaymaniyah in Iraq and a representative office in Lagos - Nigeria (Africa).
BBAC will also launch the second generation of banking services such as Online Banking and Mobile Payment that are expected to be of the most advanced services in the Lebanese market, in parallel to the expansion of its products offerings to suit youth, entrepreneurs and business leaders as per BDL’s circular no.331 and the development of Private Banking services.
Addressing the bank’s outstanding staff, Sheikh Assaf said: “Success is not a coincidence, it is the result of strategies and action plans that have been adopted years ago and applied in coordination with the important development in the bank’s performance. I am proud of you and grateful for your tremendous efforts, contributions and unwavering commitment to BBAC. BBAC grows through you and your efforts."
Following the speech, a short documentary film was played to share with the staff the results of the fundraising campaign that the bank has organized and the employees have actively participated in; This campaign was carried out in line with the bank’s commitment to social responsibility humanitarian commitment. Finally, the plan to launch a comprehensive contemporary image of the bank was revealed to be implemented in conjunction with BBAC’s 60th Anniversary in the coming year to continue to steadily prove that BBAC is “Your Caring Bank”.

BBAC Continues to Support Al Jabal Marathon under the Slogan “We Run to Live”
BBAC marked its 5th year as the principal supporter of the Al-Jabal Marathon, which took place in the Chouf district, starting in the village of Baakline and ending in Deir Al-Qamar. The marathon held under the slogan “We Run to Live” and in the presence of BBAC employees gathered thousands of people from various regions of Lebanon. BBAC’s support to the Al-Jabal Marathon is part of its long-term commitment to support sports activities in Lebanon.
Commenting on this event, Mr. Tarek Bilal, Head of BBAC Marketing Department, said: “BBAC prides itself in being the main supporter of the race. Our support to such events reflects our commitment to help the people from the Chouf and other Lebanese regions to build a better society, and thus aims at moving the country forward, towards positive change. We assure that we, at BBAC, will keep supporting the Al-Jabal Marathon and the communities around it as it stems from our slogan: Your Caring Bank.”
The race ended with an award ceremony in the presence of key social figures, municipality leaders, heads of the schools and universities involved, and of course, BBAC representatives.
