BBAC Participates in AUB Job Fair
BBAC took part in the American University of Beirut (AUB) Annual Job Fair-Exhibition 2013 that was held at the university’s upper campus on May 25 and 26, 2013 for AUB students and graduates.
Many aspiring students from different backgrounds visited BBAC stand where they had the chance to present their resumes in person and interact with BBAC representatives, who gladly provided potential candidates with information on career opportunities for different positions within the bank and explored with others internship possibilities.
The bank’s presence at the job fair reinforces its commitment to empowering and supporting the Lebanese youth in various aspects of their lives especially education and employment as providing youth with proper guidance and mentoring until they step into their career lives is not just a moral obligation but is a compelling necessity amidst current economic and social challenges.

BBAC Opens New Branch in Bliss Street
BBAC has opened a new branch located in Bliss street, Ras Beirut. The new branch is a reflection of the bank’s strong business growth in Lebanon and a result of its strategic expansion drive aiming at meeting the needs of its customers wherever they are.
The new branch is a state-of-the-art banking facility where all customers’ financial requirements are met by a team of top banking professionals.

BBAC Promotes a Healthy Lebanon
BBAC was the main sponsor of this year’s Al Jabal Mini Marathon, a non-profit activity that brings together Lebanese of all backgrounds to run united in the heart of Mount Lebanon. This inclusive marathon has become an annual sport tradition that encourages new generations of roadrunners and welcomes amateurs to develop their skills and professionals to compete.
Amidst great excitement in the early Sunday morning, thousands of eager participants set off in bright sunshine from Beiteddine in the Chouf district in hopes of running the entire distance of the marathon up to the finishing point at Deir EL Qamar Municipality. The challenge of the marathon was also extended to people with physical disabilities who competed on the wheel chair track.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Tarek Bilal, Head of BBAC Marketing Department, said, “We, at BBAC, strive to constantly unite our efforts in order to serve the community whenever the opportunity arises. The mini marathon is among the few that unite people from Lebanon’s various religious, political and social groups in a very public way, thus promoting a healthy, harmonious, prosperous society and encouraging Lebanese youth, who need our attention and care, to play sports and stay away from negative distractions.”

BBAC and Live Lebanon Inaugurate Two Projects for the Youth
To celebrate their commitment to creating academic and recreational opportunities for youth in the country, BBAC and Live Lebanon inaugurated two projects in North and Mount Lebanon that aim at providing the youth through sport with the opportunity to get active and stay healthy, build skills, and develop self-confidence in the hope of making themselves, their communities and the country better.
The first project in Ain Yaacoub-North Lebanon was inaugurated on the very playground Live Lebanon constructed, in the presence of the Head of the Municipality, Mr. Majid Derbas, and the UNDP Country Director, Mr. Luca Renda. Providing social and cultural opportunities for rural youths, the newly built sports field and playground offers a chance for social interaction between young people. After the inauguration, a friendly basketball match took place between local youth overjoyed with their new sports field.
The second inauguration of the Baakline project in Mount Lebanon topped off a busy week. Live Lebanon in partnership with BBAC renovated the village’s deteriorated basketball court and built a park for children with outdoor toys. The Head of the Municipality, Dr. Noha Ghoussaini, the UNDP Deputy Country Director, Mr. Shombi Sharp, and BBAC area branch manager, Mr. Amine Timani were delighted that the community’s youth had new opportunities to socialize and stay active. Reflecting upon the project, Dr. Ghoussaini said that, “BBAC and Live Lebanon’s support of Baakline has injected the community with a new sense of purpose as we look to the future with hope.”
Mrs. Bouran Bouery, Live Lebanon Goodwill Ambassador for Western Europe, provided distinguished support to the projects, saying “I am proud to be part of such an initiative that acts where is needed the most without distinguishing between religions or political affiliations.”

BBAC and Live Lebanon Improve Environmental Sustainability in Bekaa
BBAC and Live Lebanon proudly unveiled a new social development project in Tal Dnoub in the Bekaa Valley. Seeking to improve the village’s environmental sustainability, Live Lebanon in partnership with BBAC planted 580 trees and constructed cladding walls on the roadside to avoid the debris normally swept by water during rainy season, in addition to expanding the main entrances of the village.
The inauguration drew many attendees, including Mr. Mohammed Rahhal, former Minister of Environment, and the Head of the Municipality, Mr. Elie Sakr, who spoke of the need for green initiatives and sustainable infrastructure to improve the quality of life for the community. Other attendees included Live Lebanon Goodwill Ambassador for Western Europe, Mrs. Bouran Bouery, the UNDP Social and Local Development Program Manager, Mr. Raghed Assi, the Head of BBAC Marketing Department, Mr. Tarek Bilal, and BBAC managers.
As Live Lebanon and BBAC set forth an ambitious agenda for change towards a brighter future, they remain committed to sustainable, high impact initiatives that transform deprived communities across the country.
