BBAC Supports “Aley-Z Let's Go” Festival in Aley
Within the framework of BBAC's participation in social and cultural activities that contribute to the empowerment of the local community, the bank sponsored "Ahla Fawda” NGO’s annual festival that set foot this year at Aley Symposium in the city of Aley in Mount Lebanon under the title “Aley-Z Let's Go”. The event took place under the patronage of the Ministers of Culture and Tourism, in cooperation with the Municipality of Aley, and in the presence of prominent and regional figures, as well as BBAC officials.
On the occasion, BBAC’s Chairman and General Manager Mr. Ghassan Assaf said: “We, at BBAC, are proud to be part of this creative festival, which is being held this year in Aley, where our bank has been present for 60 years. Our role goes beyond the ordinary banking industry, as it extends to support associations and people in all purposeful activities, which falls within the Bank's social responsibility goals”.
"Cultural work of arts and music greatly contribute to enhancing people's lives, as a bank, we continually strive to improve society, stemming from our slogan 'Your Caring Bank'. Care is not only moral and material, but also cultural, thus our bank continuously supports all activities that contribute to positive change in the community", he added.
It is worth mentioning that the festival took the streets of Aley by storm, turning it into a hub of arts and culture, with the participation of Lebanese and international painters, sculptors and musicians. The festival also allocated an area for craftsmen, books and publications. In addition to its various musical activities that comprised opera, rock, jazz and eastern and western blues shows as well as Brazilian and African folklore performances. The festival also included kid's entertainment and activities, and vintage cars exhibition.

BBAC Supports Al Jabal Marathon for the 7th Year Under the Slogan “We Run for Lebanon”
BBAC marked its 7th year as the principal supporter of the Al-Jabal Marathon. The marathon held under the slogan “We Run for Lebanon”, set off from Kafr Nabrakh and ended in Deir Al-Qamar in Chouf district, with the participation of thousands of students, athletes and runners.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Nadim Hamadeh, Assistant General Manager for Banking, said: “BBAC’s support to the Al-Jabal Marathon is part of its long-term commitment to encourage sports activities in Lebanon, in line with the bank’s social responsibility goals.”
He added: “BBAC prides itself in taking part in events such as the Al- Jabal Marathon which help bring together Lebanese people from different backgrounds and areas of the country to run collectively for Lebanon. At BBAC, we are continually trying to unify our efforts for the good of society, whenever the opportunity presents itself, stemming from our slogan “Your Caring Bank”.”
The marathon was concluded with an award ceremony at the race’s end point, in the presence of key social figures, municipality leaders, heads of the schools and universities involved, and BBAC managers and employees, who were keen to take part in the event.

BBAC Signs the Investors for Governance & Integrity (IGI) Declaration
BBAC became a signatory of the Investors for Governance & Integrity (IGI) declaration initiated by Capital Concept. The signature ceremony for the IGI declaration was held at the American University of Beirut in the presence of Mr. Ghassan Assaf, Chairman and General Manager of BBAC, Mr. Yasser Akkaoui, Chairman of Capital Concept, and a crowd of Lebanese financial and commercial figures as well media representatives.
Mr. Assaf stated in his speech: “Last year BBAC celebrated its 60th anniversary. Throughout those years the bank practiced fairness and transparency with all its stakeholders; this built up a healthy governance culture internally at the bank and a respectable reputation in the market. “
He added: “By signing the IGI declaration, BBAC commits to enhancing its corporate governance practices, and safeguarding the interests of its stakeholders, thus supporting transparency and credibility procedures adopted in all our transactions. “

Therefore, the commitment of financial institutions to the standards of good governance is a guarantee for current and future investors. The IGI declaration is a platform that brings together investors and corporates that recognize the importance of best in class corporate governance standards, to mitigate financial risk and defend shareholder rights, through committing the utmost transparency and accountability measures in their investment approaches.

BBAC Launches “Women’s Month” Campaign for the Third Year in a Row
BBAC dedicates for the third year in a row the month of March to celebrate Women, in conjunction with International Women's Day and Mother’s Day, by presenting exclusive offers on a uniquely arranged bouquet of banking products and services, and through taking part in social activities and humanitarian causes that support women and contribute to their empowerment. BBAC’s initiatives stem from its belief that “Women’s Month” is an opportunity to underscore the progress women made in community.

BBAC Launches the AED Platinum Card in UAE Dirham
BBAC unveiled the AED Card that is dedicated to shopping enthusiasts and frequent travelers to the United Arab Emirates. The platinum credit card is in UAE Dirham (AED), which allows its holders to avoid additional charges incurred from currency conversion. The card also offers exclusive benefits from access to airport lounges to earning rewards on everyday expenses.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Nadim Hamadeh, BBAC's Assistant General Manager for Banking said: “BBAC always seeks to better serve its clients’ needs while reinforcing the ability to effectively provide all necessary services, and the launching of the AED card will be an added value to our presence in the UAE through our representative office.”
