BBAC Spreads Care in the 2013 Beirut Marathon
BBAC employees joined thousands of people to partake in the 2013 Beirut Marathon on Sunday morning under the slogan "Run for Lebanon”. Thousands ran and crossed the finish line together, proving that Lebanon will always be stronger than the challenges it is facing.
BBAC not only ran for Lebanon but also for the ‘Kunhadi’ association, which helps spread awareness among young people about the importance of road safety. Always stepping up to the plate, the bank also sponsored two recycling stations at the marathon where runners’ plastic bottles were collected and donated to the ‘Arc en Ciel’ association to be recycled. These recycled bottles are then utilized as material for wheelchairs. The stations had volunteers present to collect the bottles, partake in fun activities, and, of course, cheering the runners!
BBAC is proud to be involved in events such as the Beirut Marathon that have the potential to move the country forward. Sunday proved to be a day of fun, calmness, and hope.
More pictures from the marathon can be found on BBAC’s Facebook page.
